Morning Meets Cars & Coffee

Peanut butter and chocolate, salt and vinegar, cars and coffee, some things just go together perfectly but the latter is the only one that can get me up and out of the house early on a Saturday morning. Today marked the second Cars and Coffee event hosted by the Morning Meets team at Eurosport Tuning in Burlington and I was excited to get back out to an event for the first time in a long long while.

Morning Meets is a free of charge membership based car community that was created with the intention of bringing together like minded individuals who simply want to share their passion for everything automotive. I jumped at the chance to apply and this Cars and Coffee was the first event I had the chance to make it out to. Better still, this Cars and Coffee was entirely open to the public making it an excellent opportunity to share their philosophy.

I arrived about an hour after the start time and was pleasantly surprised to see just how diverse the line up of cars was. One walk across the lot took you from America in a Chevy C10 to Sweden in a Volvo, Germany in an Audi, Japan in a GR Corolla all the way back to England in a McLaren Artura. Not bad for 10am on a Saturday. The setting was calm and welcoming and the whole thing was made that much better as the coffee was abundant..

Some personal highlights for me were, a BMW M4 CSL, a Mercedes 300 Coupe (don’t quote me on model numbers), and an AE86 Levin. Big body Benzes will forever be endlessly cool and the AE86 is just everything I wish my first Corolla was. Where did they lose the plot in the 90s? These cars and many more made it worth the drive out and I didn’t leave disappointed. Congratulations to the Morning Meets team for running an event that was organized, lowkey, friendly and just really enjoyable overall. I’m looking forward to some member events to come this summer! See you at the next one.
